Taking a deep breath Stefan was thinking very hard about what he was about to do. He stated to talk out loud " it's not like I'm outing myself. Most people wouldn't even believe it, treat it more like a joke or just entertainment! right?"
He was standing There looking at a sign that read " psychic readings". Business had been so slow and no one ever buys books anymore. Everyone has one of those I-pad and I- pod things so now he was doing the unthinkable. Before he thought about it anymore, he put the sign in the window and turned the open sign on.
It was late after noon now and he was feeling pretty good about his new business adventure. So far he had seven new customers, mostly were young women wanted to know if they would ever find the right man, which led Stefan into three phone numbers. But the store was quiet now for all most an hour since the last customer when the door opened......

Calub landed in the alleyway around the corner from the bookstore. He needed to pick up a book for a friend of his that was a professor at ESU. He was also flying around hoping that he wouldn't find that kid from last night sleeping in an alley somewhere.
As he entered the store a strange feeling washed over him like he could sense several presences all around him. He tried to tune into one, but it was muffled, almost like it was a thousand miles away yet right next to him. What he didn't realize was that the man running the book store had said something to him and he was standing in the middle of the store staring off into space.
"I'm sorry, I didn't hear what it was you said. I'm here looking for a book." he said then realized how stupid that sounded. He started to blush but the noise he could hear was distracting him. He chuckled in embarrassment, "Of course I'm looking for a book, duh, I'm sorry. I'm a bit distracted. My name is Calub McCabe. I'm a professor at ESU and I'm looking for a book on Archeology for one of my colleagues." he explain further.

Stefan came around from the counter and stood next to Calub. "Archeology? I believe I a have a few of them. Is there a certain one you are looking for?"
Stefan waved at Calub to follow him to a set of book shelves and pointed out the section of books. "Well this is all I have on the subject. Please take a look. If you can't find what you are looking for I can always do some digging." With that he when back to the counter, giving the man some time to browse."Oh and the name is Stefan. Give me a yell if you need help."

Calub found a book that suited his needs and brought it to the counter. As he waited for the man to ring him up, he scanned the room to see what else he had, and to see if he could find the source of the noise.
While scanning the room, he came upon a sign that read "Psychic Readings Available" sitting on the counter. "Could that be it, could he really be psychic?" he asked himself, wondering if he should ask the man about it. "Stefan is it? So let me ask you a question if ya don't mind? You don't have to answer obviously, but, are you really psychic? Not like one of the Ms. Cleo, call me now for your free reading things, but full blown psychic?" he asked knowing that it didn't matter what he said, Calub was going to read his mind for the real truth.

Stefan chuckled a little at the Ms Cleo part of Calub commit, he thought for a moment before he answered. Did it really matter how he answered? Like anyone would really believe him unless he truly show them undeniable truth but far few people could really handed the things that he could do. “Yes I am, believe it or not, is there anything you care to know?” it would be bad business to tell this man no I’m a fake, Right? Stefan pointed to the small table he had set up for doing he’s reading. “I have time if you want a reading done?” What could it hart? Well this guy could out him to the MRD but then aging people are so jaded this days and none took psychics seriously anymore that is if you’re not totally crazy.

Calub sensed the mans thoughts and was intrigued. This man was like him, like many others that had been forced out of town. He could respect his wishes seeing that this man was just trying to make a living. But he needed to see if the psychic was taking advantage of people.
Deciding to play along, he thought he would get a reading. "Sure I'll have a reading. What type of things can you tell me? Is it my future, my love life? What will my legacy bring? Are these the things you tell me or do you simply tell me my favorite color and food?" he asked trying not to sound condescending.

Stefan gives Calub a half smile, and thinks to himself “this guy really isn’t taking me seriously wasn’t that what I wanted? Yes, so why am I a fended by this? Well if this guy wants a reading he’s going to get his money’s worth”. Looking Calub dead in the eyes Stefan tells him “your past, your future whatever you have never wanted to know!” walking away from Calub and to the table he sat down and monition for Calub to take a set in the chair across from him. “What is it that you want to know more than anything?” his words where full of confidants.

Calub sat across the table from him and looked him in the eyes. "Well there is no need to go to my past, I lived it. Why don't you tell me about myself and then go to my future." he said with a smile. As he looked at him, it occurred to him he didn't know what to do. "So how does this work? You don't have to hold my hand or anything do you?" he asked trying to break the ice a little.

“Not really holding but touch yes” Stefan said with a laugh “ Just hold out your right hand palm facing up that should be fine.” Calub did as he was told and Stefan lean forward to get a better look, Stefan then moved Calub’s hand with his own, the moment he touch Calub’s hand he started getting flashes of Calub life he had to concentrate to separate Calub’s memories there was so much, he could tell that although Calub came from wealth he had not had an easy life, so much pain and something else… what was it Stefan could feel so much power coming from Calub but more than that. “You a man of self reliant, you seem to need none…. You’re a good man but you don’t always believe that “ Still touching Cabul’s hand he tried going deeper “You don’t let people in the last person you were so close really close to die………a sister……yes twin sister……..so young……..you blame yourself!” At that Calub pull his hand away and Stefan lost the contention. “Sorry I…..”

Calub pulled his hand back quickly and got up out of the chair. He didn't know what to think but he knew he never told anyone about how he felt. He felt like he had to say something, but what he wasn't sure of.
"I didn't come from money. My parents were well off but I had none of it. I left home and made my own." he said defensively.
This guy was for real, he thought to himself and knew it wasn't Stefan's fault for how he felt. After a couple of seconds contemplating what had happened, Calub realized he owed him an apology for snapping at him.
"Sorry. You caught me off guard with that. I had never told anyone about my sister. I hope there is some sort of psychic/customer confidentiality thing here."

"No I'm sorry i just say what comes to me, and please no worries I am not going to talk to anyone." Stefan paused then quickly something came to him "I never said anything about you coming from money I only thought that? Maybe we should have a talk?" Stefan know there was more to this guy then meets the eye maybe that was the power he felt? " Please sit back down, I still would like to help you if you want it?"

Calub just glared at him for a moment, still trying to compose himself. "Why do we need to talk. You seem to have a lot of questions about me. Why should I answer them? I don't know you. How do I know I can trust you?"
Calub finally took a seat after loading him down with questions. Taking a deep breath and then started again, this time looking him in the eyes. "If we do this, these questions go both ways. I'm not going to sit hear and bare my soul so you can run down to the MRD and turn me in. I learn about you as well or I walk out." Calub demanded.
